Project-based Model

Ambient utilizes a Pivotal Provider Model to deliver full lifecycle software development projects using a dual-shore, blended staffing model.

In a typical engagement, local Ambient consultants will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Primary Client Relationship
  • Overall Project Management
  • Business Requirements Management
  • Design of Future State Architecture
  • Knowledge Transfer to Offshore Team
  • Coordination and Direction of Offshore Team
  • Review of Deliverables
  • Organizational Change Management

Ambient OSDC consultants will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Transform business requirements into Software Requirements Specifications
  • Design
  • Prototyping
  • Development
  • Integration
  • Data Conversion
  • Unit Testing
  • System Integration Testing
  • Deployment
  • Technical Documentation
  • Support

Using this model, Ambient will provide all work direction and coordination to the offshore team. The offshore team can be "invisible" to the client. Ambient supports flexible pricing options within the Project-based Model, including Fixed Bid or Time and Materials at a Blended Rate.

The Project-based Model is an excellent model for clients who are new to outsourcing or a dual-shore approach. The Project-based Model affords the client an opportunity to pilot a dual-shore model on a project by project basis before committing significant work to an offshore model.
