The Client Captive Model is available to those clients who wish to establish joint, or sole, ownership in an offshore software development entity in Vietnam. In partnership with FPT Software, the largest exporter of IT Services in SE Asia, Ambient can offer the client an ownership stake in a captive offshore center.

The captive offshore entity will be structured to meet the specific needs of the client. This model offers the following benefits, above and beyond the Project-based Model and Dedicated OSDC Model:

• Lower cost structure when compared to onshore and other offshore options.
• Minimal capital investment to get the captive established.
• Greater process control. Direct employees of client would be doing the work versus intermediaries.
• Dedicated staff means reduced competition over resources for key projects.
• Ability to influence and direct hiring profiles and hiring practices of captive resource pool.
• Ability to develop and own co-developed Intellectual Property (IP).
• Greater security over content.
• Better communication between captive entity and client.
• Lower employee turnover.
• Assistance from Ambient's experienced offshore management team in establishing a successful offshore development entity.
• Headache-free management support from Ambient of the captive entity.
• Access to a secondary pool of qualified developers from bench of other captive entities for existing projects or to expand technical capabilities to start new projects.
• Ability to offload underutilized resources to other captive entities.

The client could ultimately achieve control of the entity through a buyout arrangement or could sell its interest back to Ambient and/or FPT Software. Ambient can help the corporation find other sources of labor supply (in other countries) as needed over time.
